The business meeting was attended by 10 members and two guests and took place on Friday afternoon. Three members, Janet Klug, Tony Brooks and Paul Phillips, who were judging exhibits were unable to attend. Chuck LaBlonde paid tribute to our long-time Secretary Chris Miller who died in December 2007. He spoke about the new organisational arrangements whereby Robert Johnson will be taking over as Secretary and Graham Mark will take on the Treasurer's duties, though Graham does want to give up the Editor position. A new constitution is being prepared as the current one is long out of date and will be available to vote on soon. Funds are adequate to suitable future monographs. Graham Mark gave a display of unusual aspects of British censorship including where they set up operations in Gibraltar, Alexandria and Syria, and french censors operating in London. Peter Flynn showed some out-of-the-ordinary covers that passed through the Bermuda censorship in World War II. Hap Pattiz showed a correspondence of a man named Spurling who joined the Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corp in September 1914, was a temporary Captain by war's end, and later rose to high office on the island. Gary duBro (a Guest) showed some interesting Zanzibar covers. A joint dinner took place on the Friday evening with members of the MPHS & SAS/O. The CCSG table was well manned and the focus for much discussion and social conversation. Many of our publications were sold at the table during the show.
