Provisional Enclosure Slips

CPCH 99 Rev-Chicago

This cover shows December 12, 1941 issue of NC 2 enclosure slip used on a Patriotic cover from a well known cachet maker.
The censor number 2598 is on the cover and on the slip. Enclosure slips required a supervisory review and this is indicated by the 2nd number on the envelope. The censor wanted to indicate that nothing was stolen.

This unsealed philatelic cover probably never had any contents. These slips are found in FDCs and Patriotic covers.
