Traveler Handstamps

Los Angeles - Calexico

Firm with address on both sides of Mexican border. Letter evidently carried across to U.S. where it was turned over to customs. The Customs and Censor handstamps are listed in Broderick/Mayo as being from Los Angeles. The censor number is consistent with Mayo's incomplete Traveler's series.

Exhibitor has been able to verify that there was a Los Angeles Branch Office of Traveler's censorship at Calexico and most likely censor number 56050 was assigned there.
