Rooms have been booked at The Bull Hotel, Westgate, Peterborough, for two nights at a cost of £110.00 per person for dinner, bed and breakfast. The food is of a high standard. The Hotel is in the centre of Peterborough, within a few minutes of the city centre, and opposite the entrance to Queens Gate Shopping Centre. The Cathedral is within a few minutes walk. Peterborough is an attractive but modern city, with all the usual shops and facilities, but which has still maintained some of its mediæval character. A deposit of £15.00 per head is required, made payable to The Bull Hotel, and should be sent to Nick Martin at the address below, and not directly to the hotel, please. Inevitably space is limited, so please return your pro-forma as soon as possible. Sunday Lunch will be available at £13.25, and an indication as to whether you may be interested would be appreciated. Secure parking is available, off-street, on the Hotel premises. Peterborough Railway Station is within a few minutes walk, as is Peterborough Bus and Coach station. We are hoping that there will be local dealer presence, but this is to be confirmed. Burleigh House, Stamford, is within 20 minutes drive, and is reputedly one of the finest Elizabethan houses in the country. A visit could be organized on Saturday if there is sufficient interest. Peterborough has a fine cathedral, where Catherine of Aragon is buried. The local museum has interesting displays including the largest collection in the world of Prisoner of War artwork and marquetry, mostly from the nearby Napoleonic War PoW camp at Norman's Cross.
