Described as: December 15, PORCUPINE RIDGE, UTAH - United States Government flight - 8:00 a.m. San Francisco-Chicago. Pilot Henry C. Boonstra crashed plane into mountain ridge at 9400 feet, but miraculously was uninjured. The mail was recovered Dec. 27th and 480 lbs. undamaged or but slightly damaged, was forwarded from Coalville, Utah bearing the cachet shown.
